Micronesia
Island hopping deep in the Pacific.
Exploring tiny islands and diving every day!!! Just above the equator.
Truc Lagoon and the Caroline Islands.
Traveling to Hawaii, Oahu - I visit the North Shore before the big jump.
With a short stops on 2 Marshall islands, and a 3 more in Micronesia..its a crazy island hopping adventure. Onward.
I make it to Chuuk, the island of Weno - Micronesia. Wow!
Live aboard Dive boats (Taka) and adventure diving. Learning Micronesia and WWII history.

Palau
Onward travel brings me to Guam for a short stopover. And a transfer to my next diving destination - Palau.
Diving... exploring these remote islands.. Another Live aboard dive boat and a rental car to explore.. This is a fantastic hidden paradise.
Taiwan
A visit to Taipei.. a big busy Chinese city.. A jump from tiny Micronesia.
I explored Taipei by their Metro..everywhere. Fun and easy.
Its Chinese New Year. Year of the Dragon.
This a easy place to stop-over, lots of museums to discover. Good food and restaurants... The Shinlin Night Market was a highlight.
No diving. Just a walk about.
Laos
Transiting thru Bangkok, I reach Vientiane. Cool, I'm in Laos.
I've missed this visiting this country several times when in SE Asia. Not this time.
Stupa's, Temples.. A slower, small-city experience.
Laos was amazing !!! Read my blog.. check out the pictures.. wow. this is the-best!!
Malaysia
Third time is the charm .. as the saying goes.
A ton of Diving, jungles and cityscapes. This is animal central. Man.. I sure missed out my first 2 attempts to get here... But this trip was spot-one.
Myanmar - Burma
for old-school guys.... Its Burma.
Travel advisories.. but I arrange to explore the highlights. Yangon, Inle Lake, Kalaw, Bagan.. Pagoda central. No diving.. maybe one day. But a place that should be on your bucket list.
Papua New Guinea - PNG
Port Moseby. New Britain Time to dive.. Life on the edge. What a privilege to add this destination.
One of the most difficult to figure out... I made it!
Australia for a day,, and a month of R&R time in NZ
These destinations are more like home.. I need to re-group after the last few destinations.. I'm in a Travel Coma!! I love big adventures but need some R&R before my next dives!!!
Who can tell the difference between an Aussie and a Kiwi flag ?
so... its NZ. my 'second' home. This is my 8th visit. Cool!!
(well, maybe NZ is my 'third' home, I've only spent more time in Bonaire and the US.)

Kingdom of Tonga
An education on Ancient Polynesia.
And a fantastic Rugby match.
Explored Tongatapu, but failed to find a dive operator.. Still, and adventure.
American Samoa
No diving again.. No dive operators.. but an interesting exploration of this island. Very beautiful, rugged mountains and lush.. Not much to do, but still an education and easy to drive.
Kauai, Hawaii, USA
Stopping in Hawaii again.. To see Kauai. In particular, to see Waimea Canyon - wow, cool. And a beautiful hike along Shipwreck Beach and Heritage Trail. Then some time in the land of Hanalei - with Puff.
Kauai is absolutely the best island in Hawaii, no contest.
